ST Microelectronics and Innoscience are to collaborate on GaN Technology. Here's more.
ST Microelectronics in Geneva, Switzerland has reached an agreement with Innoscience, a Chinese company that is a world leader in low-cost production of eight inch gallium nitrate on Silicon, on a contract for the development and manufacturing of GaN technology. The two companies will leverage their respective strengths to strengthen GaN power solutions and enhance supply chain resilience.
With this agreement, the two companies will develop promising GaN power technologies for consumer devices, data centers, automotive/industrial power systems, and many more applications that will emerge in the coming years.
Weiwei Luo, Chairman and Founder of Innoscience, stated, "Our company has achieved mass production of 8 inch gallium nitrate technology ahead of other companies and has shipped more than 1 billion GaN products to various markets. Our two teams will work together to develop next-generation GaN technology."
